  So nevermind the inflammatory church sign shown here.  Let's discuss.  Is God Really Dead?  Does he exist?  And if he does, isn't he really pissed off at how we have screwed up his planet?

  Believe it or not, I have a story on this week's show that may help us put to rest at least one and a half of those questions for a few days.  So make sure to download the show and check it out.

  Ok, first of all, major apologies for how long it took me to get this entry posted.  For some reason, I've been having problems with my blog manager, Moveable Type, and it keeps kicking me off of the system.  Hopefully I'll get this entered before it kicks me off again.

  I love the photo above of the Star Trek Lieutenant holding a phaser on "Princess Leia."  Who says you can't meet girls at a Star Trek Convention.  (Then again, these girls kinda scare me.  And check out the geeky fanboy in the background who has apparently never seen a girl's legs before.  Anyway...)

  The title of the episode is not taken from the photo, however.  It's from an extremely cool video that I found that actually enacts a "Star Trek vs. Star Wars" battle.  Yes, I know...this is so geeky that it even embarasses ME.  But CLICK HERE or on the graphic below and watch it.  It's pretty damn cool.

  The child molester GARY GLITTER, who wrote and performed the instrumental song "ROCK AND ROLL PT. 2" is back in the news.  Since he's in jail for having sex with two 11-year-old girls, the NFL has asked its team's stadiums NOT to play his song in the stands at football games.  I talk about this on the show, and mention one of my favorite podcasts, the MURPHY'S PATRIOTS AUDIO BLOG.  I am a big New England Patriots fan, and I listen to this really cool fan show all the time.  Check them out HERE.

  Finally, GIANT BRIAN files another edition of HEADLINES on the show, and I'm not sure what's going on with him.  I play an excerpt from THE GIANT SHOW where he totally trashes me.  What's up with that??  Do me a favor and go to his MySpace page and email him or hassle him in some way.  What a dork!

  Welcome back to RADIO FREE CRUZE!!  We have exciting news this week, as promised!  I talk about it on the podcast, but I'll tell you here as well.  We've launched a 24-hour, 7-days-a-week, streaming Indie Rock and Alternative Radio Station!  That's right, RADIO FREE CRUZE is now available 24 hours a day!

  So the digital stream is brand new, and I'll be refining the station quite a bit, but it's very exciting to be launching this and I really want you to try it out, and then email me with your suggestions at cruze@radiofreecruze.com.

  I didn't think it made sense to play ONLY podsafe (cleared for play on the podcast) music on the station, although all of the great stuff you hear on the podcast is there.  In addition to those artists though, you'll hear ARCADE FIRE, THE BLACK ANGELS, EELS, BLOC PARTY, CAT POWER, THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS, and more indie and indie-friendly artists that I haven't been able to play on the podcast.  At the end of the day, I just want to expose great music that you might not hear otherwise, so I'll be looking for exactly the right balance to do that.

  Anyway, I'm very excited about our little "expansion."  And it's so cool to be able to hear RADIO FREE CRUZE any time.  I'll be expanding the content of the channel every day, and hope to be actually streaming episodes of the podcast very soon.
