  So, you're probably way ahead of me on this, but I'm pretty psyched about two movies that I've been reading about, and I mention both of them on Episode #37.  There's the "as-yet-unnamed" 11th Star Trek movie (yes, I'm hopeless, I admit it.)  That's not even due out until 2008.  But by August, you will be able to visit a movie theatre near you and check out the hottest item of discussion on the web, SNAKES ON A PLANE.  And you'll get to hear Sam utter the fan-created line, "I Want Those Motherfucking Snakes...Off The Motherfucking Plane!"

 Welcome to this week's show!  A new study suggests that Podcasting, the brand-new medium, is already dead in the water!  What do you think?  I give some statistics from a new study by the Forrester Research Group, and talk about why I think they are crap.  What is it Mark Twain said?  "There are three kinds of lies.  Lies.  Damn Lies.  And Statistics."

 Honestly, I think this is truly an exciting time to be alive!  Podcasting is just one of the ways that the control of the media is being wrestled away from the mega-companies, and the playing field is being leveled.  Now, they will only survive if they produce entertainment and media that people actually WANT.  Just as cable upped the stakes for Broadcast TV, podcasting ups the stakes for Broadcast radio.  If they put out quality, we'll listen.  If not, we have a LOT of other options!

 You can't quite tell from the picture here, but STAR JONES is one of the biggest morons on the planet.  Actually, you don't need the picture to know that.  But if you have any doubts, click HERE or on the pic itself to see the RADIO FREE CRUZE "Video Of The Month."  It's STAR JONES getting hit on the head by a football and falling to the ground, where she moans in pain.  As the guy says at the end of this clip, you just can't see this enough.

It was really tempting, but I just couldn't do it.  After all, I promised last show that I would lay off of the more gratuitous show titles for at least a little while.  But that was tough to do when I saw this picture, and the accompanying story.  It seems that American's Favorite Little Tart, LINDSAY LOHAN, showed her bare ass to an auditorium full of kids at the Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards.  Nice move, Lindsay.  And nice buns, too...

I also rant a bit aimlessly on the show about Pizza and False Advertising.  I'm not sure why this seemed so important to me at the time, but I guess I'm just getting sick of people and businesses being able to claim anything they want without being able to back it up.  And it's our fault, as customers.  We should call them on it, and yet, because it's convenient, we just let it go, and let people get away with saying "Brick Oven Pizza" when they don't even HAVE a Brick Oven.  I know, it's petty, right?  I should just get over it and move on.  Because you are in line behind me, and the last thing you want is to have to wait for me to finish bitching about it before you can order your pizza and get on with your day.  "Sigh."

I just read where Tom DeLay has decided not to run for reelection, thanks to the fact that he's running so far behind in the polls.  Thank God that people in Texas are waking up and realizing what scum this guy is.  I don't mention this on the show, but boy is it a relief to see the US starting to come out of its coma, like Tony Soprano with a gunshot wound, looking around the room and wondering what the hell happened while we were unconcious.
